FAUXWOOD

Our Fauxwood shutters is best described as PVC extruded shutter able to withstand temperatures to 65deg Celsius. it is water resistant making it an ideal product for wet areas such as kitchens bathrooms and laundries.

In every fauxwood shutter stile there is a reinforced aluminium square tube that strengthens the overall structure of the shutter and reduces the weight of the shutter, ensuring long term stability of the panel.

The maximum panel width of the fauxwood shutters is 650mm, and any panel that is over 1500mm high will require a mid rail.

***An aluminium insert can be manufactured into the panels to bring the panel width up to 750mm***

BASSWOOD

Basswood has become one of the most widely used materials for shutters in the global market.This is due to it's resistance to warping,easy workability,durability,and acceptance of a variety of finishes.

Basswood is a member of the hardwood family.The use of Basswood for musical instruments including guitars and piano soundboards reinforces its properties as a stable and reliable timber.

The maximum panel width for basswood shutters is 950mm wide and a mid rail is required for any panel over 1800mm high.When wider panels are required, a centre stile can be used up to an overall maximum panel size of 1200mm.

PAINTED SHUTTERS

Painted Shutters are painted with five coats of 2 part polyurethane paint,which are hand sanded between coats.

Two part polyurethane is the favoured paint of the boat building industry due to its colour brilliance, durability and resistance to cracking and peeling. These qualities make the paint an ideal selection to withstand the Heat and UV rays in Australian windows.

'IMAGE' TIMBER GRAIN SHUTTERS

By reproducing Jaraj Image, Ceda Image and Oak Image grains, our 'Image' products provide the warmth and characteristics of timber.

The 'Image' finish has been laboratory tested and fading is not visible to the naked eye. As the finish is applied wet and forms to the sections, it will not peel and crack. The 'Image' finish provides a consistent look across all sections of timber, eliminating any mismatching resulting from varying understones in the raw materials.
